The next funding round of the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund main grant scheme is now open for applications from 1st November 2016 until 31st January 2017.
The fund receives £46,000 each year from the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm developer GreenPower. Five applications to the main fund were successful in the most recent round of funding which ended in July and over £23,000 was distributed throughout the five community council areas that surround the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm.
The fund is divided between two schemes; a micro grant scheme with awards of grants up to £250 available to individuals, constituted and non-constituted groups and the main grant scheme with awards of up to £7,000 available to constituted groups only. The closing date is 31st January 2017.
