British Cycling and the SDA put on a sellout race at Fort William

Over 300 riders from juniors to elites turned up at Nevis Range on the 25 and 26 May to test their skills on one of the longest downhill racetracks in Europe.

Despite some challenging weather on the Sunday that meant the races had to be brought forward to avoid the forecasted thunder and lightning, everyone seemed to enjoy the challenging racing and stayed on for the prize giving.

The GreenPower marquee with new pop-up banners was positioned at the finish area and proved a popular spot to view the racing from when the heavens opened.  There was also plenty of space in the marquee for a travel pen to keep the wee ones entertained.

GreenPower has been sponsoring the SDA for over 10 years and Rob was delighted to be asked to present the awards to the winning riders.

Joe Breeden won the elite men’s category and Megan Horne was the winning elite female.
