ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our growth plans we are seeking suitably qualified people to work on origination, acquisition and management of land assets. GreenPower employs a highly skilled team of technical, financial and commercial experts committed to high quality ethics and working standards. The majority of our property transactions are Scots law, although we have a few English law activities.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with the Land Manager and the Development Team to identify and secure land agreements for the development of renewable energy projects.
- Assisting with landowner relationships including negotiating heads of terms, option agreements, leases, licences and servitudes.
- Instructing land agents, solicitors, and other external advisers in property matters.
- Administering the continuing property commitments of the company including adjustments to titles, option payments, and complying with planning obligations.
- Managing the files and property registers for the company.
- Providing property due diligence for acquisitions.
- Dealing with property enquiries.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Essential Criteria
- Degree-level qualification in Scots law or similar property related subject.
- Demonstrable experience in commercial property transactions in Scotland.
- Skilled in managing agents and legal teams to prepare options and leases.
- Familiarity with the planning and consent processes across UK.
- Understanding of the commercial terms and conditions of rural renewable energy property transactions.
- Full, current driving licence valid for driving in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge and understanding of GIS packages (ideally ArcGIS).
