Argyll Hydrogen Hub

Located in Oban, the Argyll Hydrogen Hub is one of our first major steps into green hydrogen production. Building on our established presence in the region through the Carraig Gheal Wind Farm, the Hub will supply clean hydrogen to local community and businesses—helping them reduce emissions and move towards an economy powered by renewable energy.

Green hydrogen can replace fossil fuels in:

  • Transport
  • Industrial processes
  • Heating applications

These sectors account for nearly 75% of total energy use. Locally produced hydrogen reduces reliance on imported fuels, strengthens energy security, and lowers carbon emissions.

The plan for the site is to produce and distribute hydrogen in a refueling station. This will allow trucks and heavy vehicles to decarbonise
