Dave Munro of the SDA Talks about GreenPower Partnership with Wideopenmountainbike.com

Dave Munro of the Scottish Downhill Association recently spoke with Pete Scullion of Wideopenmountainbike.com about a GreenPower supported Elite Privateer programme. This programme will support those riders selected for the current season and is totally separate from the GreenPower sponsorship of the SDA.

Dave had explained to Rob Forrest, owner of GreenPower, that he “always admired the dedication and determination that privateer Elite riders face to compete on the World circuit; usually without the financial and logistical support of a trade team environment.” Rob, a keen cyclist himself, wanted to address the challenge that some riders face in making the transition from national events to world level events, getting their names known and ultimately being selected for one of the pro teams.

Rob said, “Building on what has been achieved so far, GreenPower is delighted to provide sponsorship to George Gannicot and Mikayla Parton who have both had strong seasons mainly competing in the UK and have strong potential to make it on the world stage.”
