Clayfords Wind Turbine
Clayfords Wind Project is a single wind turbine near Strichen in Aberdeenshire which is owned by Thrive Renewables and asset managed by GreenPower. It is an 800kW Enercon direct drive turbine with a tip height of 79m located on a working farmland with arable crop production and livestock. It was consented by Aberdeenshire council and following construction, became operational in 2015.
Project details
GreenPower project managed the construction phase which began in 2014 contributing to an accelerated roll out of renewables in the UK. The project made a one off community benefit payment towards local council energy efficiency improvements and educational and art projects at the Mintlaw Academy.
