On Friday 14th August 2015 GreenPower took delivery of its twin jet pelton turbine from Gilkes in Kendal, Cumbria for its Carie Hydro project. The project on the river Carie is situated close to Loch Rannoch. Here we see the Gilkes team busy craning the turbine and associated components into turbine house. The mechanical installation will take a couple of weeks after which the commissioning period starts. We expect to have the Carie scheme up and running by the end of September subject to any extreme weather conditions this current Scottish summer may throw at us.
