The two turbines at Clayfords and Auchtygills which make up the Strichen project are now well into the construction phase with the foundations having been laid for each. The turbines, a pair of Enercon-E48 machines, will have a combined capacity of 1.6MW, a tip height of 80m and export the generated electricity to the National Grid.
