RSPB’s Nature of Scotland Awards – Community Initiative Award to be decided by Public Vote

On Wednesday evening I attended the Scottish Parliament to witness the shortlisting of this year’s nature champions who are working hard to safeguards Scotland’s nature and habitats.  There are a wide range of categories, including the Community Initiative Award which GreenPower sponsors, so there was a great turn out of nature enthusiast hoping that their project had been selected to be in the short list for these prestigious Awards.

The short listed projects were announced by Anne McCall Director of RSPB; Francesca Osowska, Chief Executive of NatureScot, and Susan Davis, Director Scottish Wildlife Trust.

Final judging will take place in the next couple of months and the winners of each category will be announced at the Awards Dinner in the EICC on the 22 November.

Those short listed are each given two free tickets to attend the Awards Dinner.  Those who want to come along and support the nominees or just want have a lovely evening celebrating Scotland’s nature can book a seat or table.

This year the Community Initiative Award is going to be decided by a Public Vote.  To review the six short listed projects and to cast your vote follow the link:-
