GreenPower Sponsors Community Initiative Award at RSPB Nature of Scotland Awards 2017

Enter now for the RSPB Community Initiative Award

Entries are now open for the RSPB Nature of Scotland Awards including the Community Initiative Award which GreenPower are proud to be sponsoring for the fourth year running. The prestigious event, now in its sixth year, brings together key decision-makers and supporters involved in nature conservation in Scotland to celebrate Scotland’s outstanding conservation success stories.

The Community Initiative Award will go to an outstanding community based-initiative that benefits nature and has been developed and led by the people it serves. Last year GreenPower was pleased to present the award to Concrete Garden in Possilpark, a creative waste reduction and urban community food growing project which also serves the wider North Glasgow area.

Rob Forrest, GreenPower’s CEO, explained that “Working with, not against nature, is an absolute priority at GreenPower. Our sponsorship of the Community Initiative Award reflects our desire to recognise the hard work of individuals and organisations working to safeguard their natural environment. We look forward to seeing exciting and worthwhile community projects getting the recognition they deserve.”

To enter the GreenPower sponsored Community Initiative Award you can either nominate a project or submit your own. The awards are free to enter and submissions are due by 12th June 2017 with the ceremony being held on Thursday 23rd November at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh.
